Understanding "C" Codes on Your Screen

Modified on Sun, 21 Sep at 6:14 PM

What Does the "C" Code Mean?

If you see a code starting with "C" followed by three numbers (like C123, C456), this is your Device Code. This is completely normal and not an error message.

Don't Worry!

  • This code doesn't mean your device is broken
  • It's a normal part of the treatment tracking system
  • Your device works correctly by showing you this information

When You'll See This Code

Automatic Display:

  • If your physician ordered the device shipped locked, and will provide a code before starting therapy
  • When you have fewer than 20 treatments remaining
  • When all treatments have been used
  • After entering an incorrect refill code

Manual Display:

  • When you press CANCEL + LEFT ARROW together on DT controllers
  • When accessing Menu 5 on your DT device
  • ClearLink Controller can display this information from the "Machine Info" section in the Service Main Menu

What to Do When You See This Code

  1. Write down the complete code (including the "C" and all numbers)
  2. This code is needed to get your treatment refill
  3. Contact your prescribing physician with this code
  4. Your doctor will provide you with a 4-digit Treatment Code to restore your treatments

If You Need Help

  • Take a photo of the screen showing the C code
  • Your doctor's office can help explain the refill process
  • Contact Phothera customer service if you're unsure about next steps by using the Contact Form, select the following options Patient > Current Patient > I am seeing a code starting with a C
Applies to all Phothera devices with treatment tracking: 100, 100XL, 200, 200XL, 400, 600, 600-3D
