  • Choose a location within reach of the specified electrical connection
  • Ensure unit placement doesn't obstruct traffic flow
  • Position device so the power inlet and circuit breakers are easily accessible
  • Must be properly grounded for safety
  • Avoid areas where water or moisture might collect
  • Protect from access by children and unauthorized users

Room Design Considerations

Ventilation Requirements:

  • Exhaust fan directly over the cabinet is recommended for heat dissipation
  • Adequate supply of fresh air required
  • Exhaust air must be expelled outdoors or into a large area
  • Louver-style door recommended for continuous fresh air supply
  • Alternative: install grates in the existing door

Space Planning:

  • Allow adequate space around the unit for patient access
  • Consider patient comfort during treatment
  • Ensure proper lighting for skin assessment
  • Plan for equipment maintenance access
  • Account for 3-meter ocular hazard distance

Environmental Considerations:

  • Cool, clean environment for optimal operation
  • Protection from UV exposure for furnishings (may cause fading)
  • Proper flooring for equipment stability
  • Consider noise levels from ventilation fans

Capacity Planning

Treatment Volume Considerations:

  • High-Volume Practices: Phothera Pro 4800MAX (48 lamps) for maximum efficiency
  • Moderate-Volume Practices: Phothera Pro 4000XL (40 lamps) for balanced performance
  • Dual Therapy Needs: Combination lamp configurations (UVA/UVB split)
  • Treatment Time: Higher lamp count reduces individual treatment duration

Patient Population Factors:

  • Full-body treatment needs
  • Combination therapy requirements
  • Patient comfort preferences
  • Treatment scheduling flexibility
